The Knights of Columbus Louisiana State Council's Catholic Youth Leadership Award recognizes practicing Catholic high school seniors for leadership in their church, school, and community. Local councils each send one young man and one young woman forward, and the state narrows the field to five finalists per division — every finalist wins a cash prize between $1,000 and $5,000 at the CYLA Finals in Baton Rouge. Online applications typically open November 1 and run through late January.
