The Utah Promise Grant is a need-based, last-dollar grant that helps cover tuition and fees at participating Utah institutions once federal and other aid have been applied. It's open to Utah residents (or students who qualify for resident tuition) who file the FAFSA or an approved alternative form each year to document financial need. The grant is available at Utah's eight public universities, eight technical colleges, and several private nonprofit colleges, and is awarded one year at a time rather than guaranteed across all four years. Students apply by completing the FAFSA and contacting the financial aid office at their chosen Utah institution.
Last-dollar award; amount depends on remaining need after other aid and available state funding, awarded one year at a time
