VBA Bank Day Scholarship Program

Virginia high school seniors who take part in Bank Day — a statewide program pairing students with a local participating bank each March — write an essay on what they learned about personal finance and how banks support their communities. The VBA Education Foundation awarded $28,500 across 12 winners in 2026: six $1,000 honorable-mention awards, six $2,500 regional awards, one regional winner topped up to $5,000 as statewide runner-up, and one topped up to $7,500 as statewide winner.
