The Community Foundation of Central Illinois runs a Universal Application that matches graduating seniors to whichever of its scholarship funds they qualify for, rather than requiring a separate application for each one. The foundation serves a 50-mile radius around Peoria, and most of its funds are tied to a specific high school, town, or field of study within that area. The application asks for a transcript, FAFSA information, and short essays, and students who qualify for a fund are then asked for letters of recommendation before awards are sent directly to their college.
DemographicsServes a 50-mile radius around Peoria, excluding Knox and McLean Counties; individual funds may add their own high-school, town, or major-specific rule on top of that.
Amounts and terms differ by the individual fund a student is matched to; at least 15 funds were listed in the online directory.
