New York Farm Bureau's Agricultural Youth Scholarship is open to graduating seniors statewide who live or work on a farm or are otherwise actively involved in agriculture; a free NYFB student membership is required to apply (applicants under 18 need parental consent). Each of the Bureau's districts awards $250 to one local winner, and two of those district winners go on to win $3,000 (first place) or $2,000 (second place) at the state level. Funds can be used toward a college degree or a skilled-trades program.
