CWA Joe Beirne Foundation Scholarship

The CWA Joe Beirne Foundation awards sixteen scholarships of $4,000 for the first year to CWA members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, including dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members, plus a $4,000 second-year renewal if academic progress is satisfactory ($8,000 total). Winners are chosen by lottery drawing rather than by merit or need, so there's no essay or GPA cutoff. Applications are typically accepted November through April, and prior winners may not reapply.
