The NAEMT Foundation awards scholarships of up to $1,000 to cover the cost of an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification program, plus a year of NAEMT student membership. NAEMT membership is not required to apply. Applicants submit a 1,000-word-or-less letter describing why they're pursuing EMS training; selection weighs commitment to the EMS profession, financial need, and community involvement.
