The Alliant Energy Foundation, administered by Scholarship America, awards up to 25 one-time $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are dependents of, or customers in good standing with, an Alliant Energy utility subsidiary in its Iowa or Wisconsin service territory and plan to study a STEM field or a craft/skilled trade. Applicants need a cumulative GPA between 2.5 and 4.0, must show a leadership role in community service or volunteer work, and submit a 350-word essay. The program runs on a recurring Dec. 2-Feb. 3 application window; the 2026-27 window had not been posted as of early September 2026.
