Pivotal provides up to $2,000 per year, for up to five years, to current or former foster youth from Santa Clara or San Mateo County who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a community college, university, or vocational program. Eligibility requires juvenile-court dependency that continued past age 13. Recipients must work one-on-one with a Pivotal coach as part of receiving the scholarship, and applicants apply by submitting an online referral rather than a written application. Applications open in spring each year; the 2026-27 cycle dates have not yet been posted.
