Chancellor's Scholarship (Appalachian State University)

The Chancellor's Scholarship is Appalachian State University's top merit award, covering full tuition, fees, housing, and a meal plan for up to eight semesters, plus a fully funded faculty-led study abroad experience. Ten scholarships are awarded to incoming first-year Honors College students each year, chosen by a faculty committee that reviews transcripts, activities, and essays for academic interest, leadership, and intellectual curiosity. Every First-Year Honors College application is automatically considered — there's no separate scholarship application — though finalists complete a virtual interview.
