The Buffalo Urban League Scholarship Program supports graduating high school seniors and recent HSE/GED recipients across Western New York who plan to attend college. Awards are drawn from more than ten named funds, including the National Fuel Scholarship, which pays $15,000 per year for four years to one recipient. Selection weighs financial need, academic achievement, character, and community service, and applications require an essay, a letter of recommendation, and an interview. In 2026 the program awarded 119 scholarships.
