Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers (NeSPE) · State

NeSPE offers a $1,500 State Scholarship (two awarded) plus $1,000 Eastern Chapter and $1,000 Northeast Chapter scholarships, open to graduating Nebraska high school seniors planning to study engineering. State and Eastern Chapter awards require enrolling in an ABET-accredited engineering program in Nebraska; the Northeast Chapter award lets you attend any school. You'll need a 3.5 GPA or higher, a qualifying SAT (1100+) or ACT (54+) score, two teacher recommendations, and a short essay on your career plans — applying for a chapter award automatically enters you for the state award too.
