Rather than applying to dozens of separate local scholarship funds one by one, students fill out a single general application through the Wichita Foundation's Scholarship Portal and are automatically matched with whichever of its donor-established awards they qualify for, then complete any extra questions those specific scholarships require. The foundation groups its opportunities into statewide, Wichita-metro-area, and other tracks, with award amounts, fields of study, and eligibility criteria set individually by each donor fund. The foundation is responsible for investing, administering, and awarding all of the scholarship funds its donors have established, though it isn't currently setting up brand-new funds.
DemographicsOpen to Kansas students, with a dedicated Wichita-metro-area opportunity track for local high school seniors; a single universal application auto-matches each applicant to the donor funds they qualify for.
Each donor fund sets its own award amount; there is no single fixed figure across the portal.
