The Ohio Charity Foundation, a Knights of Columbus-affiliated charity, awards $1,000 scholarships to practicing Catholic seniors attending an Ohio Catholic high school, with no more than one recipient per school each year. Applicants need at least a 2.5 GPA, and the Foundation weighs financial need, academic honors, parish and community involvement, and extracurricular activities, with special consideration for students discerning a religious vocation. Preference, not a requirement, goes to children of Knights of Columbus members in good standing or of deceased members. Applications are due the last Friday in November, with winners notified in mid-December.
