The American Indian College Fund offers a portfolio of scholarships for American Indian and Alaska Native high school seniors headed to tribal colleges or mainstream accredited institutions, with individual award amounts averaging $2,000-$3,000. Applications open annually on February 1 for the following fall, with a priority-review deadline of May 31 (applications are still accepted afterward, on a rolling basis through January 25, for spring enrollment, but priority-reviewed applicants are favored). Applicants document eligibility with a copy of their tribal ID/CIB (enrolled members) or a parent's or grandparent's tribal ID plus birth certificate(s) (descendants). Only one application per year is needed regardless of how many of the Fund's scholarships a student may qualify for.
