The Hydrocephalus Association awards about 13 one-time $1,000 scholarships each year to U.S. residents with hydrocephalus who are at least 17 years old and either enrolled in or planning to start college, trade school, or another accredited educational program. Applicants must submit proof of diagnosis from a treating medical provider along with one letter of recommendation from a non-relative who knows them well. Funds can go toward tuition, books, housing, or other education-related costs, and recipients cannot win more than once.
