The Helen Stokes Scholarship is South Carolina PTA's award for a graduating senior at a South Carolina high school who has lived in the state for at least a year and plans to attend an accredited South Carolina college or post-secondary program. Applicants are judged on PTA involvement, academic record, extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, and an essay, and need a signature of sponsorship from a local PTA or PTSA in good standing (or a feeder school's PTA, if their own school has none). It's a one-year award disbursed for the fall semester only, and how many scholarships are given out each year depends on funds raised; there's no fee to apply.
Eligibility
