American Legion Department of Arkansas Coudret & Garner Trust Scholarship

The American Legion Department of Arkansas offers eight scholarships each year: four $1,000 Coudret Trust awards, which can go toward an Arkansas or out-of-state school, and four $2,500 Garner Trust awards, which must go toward an Arkansas college, university, or technical/trade school. You must be a child, grandchild, great-grandchild, or step-child of an American Legion member (including one who has passed away) who has been in good standing for at least two consecutive years, and either you or that member must live in Arkansas. The application asks for three letters of reference, an official transcript, and a short essay on your background and career goals. Ask your school counselor or an Arkansas American Legion post for the current application and deadline.
