The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $25,000, $50,000, or a top $100,000 scholarship to students age 18 or younger (as of the deadline) who have completed a significant original piece of work in one of eight categories: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Literature, Music, Philosophy, or 'Outside the Box' — two-person teams are allowed. It requires two nominator forms plus category-specific submission materials demonstrating the work is the student's own creation, and a commitment for the student and a parent/guardian to attend the awards ceremony (in-person or virtual) in Washington, D.C. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents residing in the U.S., or stationed overseas on active U.S. military duty. The 2026 application cycle is closed; the 2027 application opens in fall 2026, with the exact deadline not yet posted as of this research.
DemographicsEligibility is based on age (18 or younger at deadline) and having completed a genuinely significant original project, not just grade level or general achievement/leadership record; U.S. citizen/permanent resident residing in the U.S., or on active-duty military assignment overseas.
Three award tiers: $25,000, $50,000, and a top $100,000 scholarship.
