The Marine Corps League National Scholarship supports paid members of the Marine Corps League or its Auxiliary (or their spouses, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren) who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree full-time. It's also open, with no membership requirement, to children of U.S. Marines, FMF Navy Corpsmen, or Navy Chaplains serving with a Marine unit who were killed in action. Applicants need a 3.30 unweighted cumulative GPA and must attach a final high school transcript. The League doesn't set the dollar amount of the scholarship until October, after all recipients confirm enrollment, so the award varies year to year and every recipient receives the same amount; students can reapply and renew for up to four years. The 2026 cycle's deadline was July 21, 2026.
DemographicsApplicant, or applicant's spouse/parent/grandparent/great-grandparent, must be a paid Marine Corps League or MCL Auxiliary member in good standing; OR the applicant is a child of a Marine/Navy Corpsman/Navy Chaplain killed in action serving with a Marine unit (no membership needed for this path).
Amount isn't fixed until October, after recipients confirm enrollment; based on available funds, and all recipients get the same amount.
