The Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship pays a per-credit-hour amount toward a Nevada college (up to 15 credits a semester) that varies by institution -- $40 at community colleges (lower-division), $60 at community colleges (upper-division) and Nevada State University, or $80 at four-year NSHE universities -- with a $10,000 lifetime cap. There is no separate application; the Nevada Treasurer's Office automatically notifies eligible graduates in July and August after high school graduation. Recipients must keep at least a 2.75 GPA each fall and spring semester and maintain sufficient enrollment (minimum credit thresholds vary by institution) to keep receiving it.
