The Kansas Livestock Foundation, together with corporate partners like Merck Animal Health and Equity Bank, awards roughly 15 named scholarships worth $500 to $2,500 each to graduates of Kansas high schools enrolling at a Kansas community or senior college (including Kansas State and Fort Hays State) in agriculture, animal science, agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural communications, dietetics, or food safety. One application covers every category a student qualifies for, and each candidate can win only one award; a one-page cover letter, resume, transcript, and reference contacts (not letters) are required. The 2026-27 cycle is already closed; the next deadline has not been posted yet.
