TMEA Scholarship Program

TMEA awards five separate scholarships each year to Texas high school graduates enrolling full-time at a Texas college or university to pursue music education leading to teacher certification. Four are worth $2,500-$3,000 per year and renew for up to five years; a set of one-year $2,500 awards also goes to multiple students. Applicants submit an essay on why they want to teach music, a resume, a transcript, and five references.
