Acorn Equality Fund awards a set of scholarships -- including the Korty & Morton, Luke, McKeon, Weber-Tucker, and Central Illinois Friends awards, alongside its own general Acorn Equality Fund award -- to LGBTQ+ students with permanent residence in downstate/central Illinois (all counties except the Chicago-area counties of Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will). Awards typically range from $2,000 to $5,000 and go to students who attend or plan to attend any accredited post-secondary school, so graduating high school seniors can apply. One combined online application (a Google Form) is used for all of the fund's named scholarships.
