National Speech & Debate Tournament Scholarships

The National Speech & Debate Tournament distributes more than $100,000 in scholarships each year, including awards for top-placing competitors in speech and debate events, Student of the Year honors, and other in-tournament recognitions. Most awards require no separate application beyond qualifying for and competing at Nationals through a district tournament. Graduated students claim funds after enrolling in a postsecondary program by submitting proof of enrollment, and money is sent directly to the school's registrar.
