The Hispanic Development Fund supports students from the Greater Kansas City area who are graduating from high school (or completing a GED/HiSET) and moving on to an associate, trade/certificate, bachelor's, or graduate program. Awards are based on academic merit, financial need, and community involvement, and applications are reviewed anonymously. U.S. citizenship or residency status is not required to apply, and there's no cost to apply.
DemographicsMust be graduating from (or have graduated from) a high school in Cass, Clay, Jackson, or Platte County, MO, or Johnson or Wyandotte County, KS, or hold a GED/HiSET from one of those counties, and be part of or committed to the community the fund serves; no citizenship/residency requirement and no fee to apply.
Individual award amounts aren't published; the fund has distributed more than $11 million across over 6,030 scholarships since it began.
