Waste Management General Scholarship

WM sets aside scholarships each year for the children of its regular full-time employees (30+ hours a week, at least one year of service as of February 1). The WM General Scholarship and the related Stephanie Valdez Memorial Scholarship pay $2,500 a year, with roughly ten awards given annually, renewable for up to three more years or until a bachelor's degree is finished. Applicants submit a transcript, SAT/ACT scores if not already on it, a short essay, and one recommendation form; the parent must still be an active full-time WM employee when the award is made.
