NUCA Foundation Scholarships

The NUCA Foundation offers four named scholarships -- the D.A. Foster Memorial, Walter Gainer, William & Shirley Burgett, and NUCA Scholarships -- to high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian works for a NUCA member company; dependents of NUCA Chapter Executive Directors and student employees of member companies also qualify. The NUCA Scholarship specifically supports students enrolling in a two-year program. Winners are chosen on standardized test scores, community service, extracurricular activities, career goals, work experience, and an essay.

DemographicsOpen only to high school seniors whose parent/guardian is employed by a NUCA member company (or who are themselves high school student employees of a member company), or dependents of NUCA Chapter Executive Directors.

Applying

Four named awards: D.A. Foster ($2,000/yr for 4 years = $8,000 total), Walter Gainer (3 available, $1,000/yr for 4 years = $4,000 each), William & Shirley Burgett ($2,000 one-time), and the NUCA Scholarship ($500/yr for 2 years = $1,000, for two-year programs).
