Jordan School District's education foundation, serving the South Jordan, West Jordan, and Sandy area of Salt Lake County, helps graduating seniors from underrepresented backgrounds become teachers. The award starts with roughly $3,500 a year in tuition waivers at Salt Lake Community College, then continues with up to $3,000 a year for two more years at the University of Utah College of Education, plus possible help with fees, books, and supplies, as funding allows. In exchange, recipients agree to return and teach in Jordan School District after finishing their degree.
