A statewide scholarship administered by the Massachusetts Elks Association for Massachusetts residents demonstrating financial need, scholarship aptitude, and good citizenship. Funded through the Massachusetts Elks Scholarship Inc. trust, a 501(c)(3) established in 1942. Applications are filed through local Elks Lodges. Grants may be renewed in later years based on continued financial need and academic achievement, but a new application must be filed each year — renewal is not automatic. The Association separately administers an MA Elks CTE Scholarship (deadline March 1) for career-and-technical-education students. Award amount, GPA minimum, and essay/recommendation requirements are not published.
Award amount is not published by the Association. Funded through the Massachusetts Elks Scholarship Inc. trust, which reported about $612,000 in annual revenue and $12.3 million in net assets on its most recent Form 990.
