Louisiana Sheriffs' Educational Scholarship Program

The Louisiana Sheriffs' Educational Scholarship Program lets each parish Sheriff enrolled in the Association's Honorary Membership Program award a scholarship, up to $1,000, to a graduating senior from that parish. You'll need to be a Louisiana resident planning to enroll full-time as an undergraduate at a Louisiana college or university. Selection weighs your grades, activities, financial need, and your stated reason for applying — there's no fee, and only the Sheriff's own immediate family is excluded.

Eligibility

DemographicsOnly the immediate family of the parish Sheriff is excluded from applying; families of Sheriff's Office employees are eligible, and there is no fee to apply.

Applying

Each participating parish Sheriff awards up to $1,000; as many as 64 scholarships are given statewide, one per participating parish.
