eCYBERMISSION is a free, team-based (2-4 students) STEM competition for grades 6-9 in which students investigate a real community problem using science or engineering practices. For the 2026-27 cycle, student/team registration opens August 12, 2026 and closes February 24, 2027, with virtual judging in March 2027 and the national event in late June 2027. Awards are cash: $500 per student for first-place state winners, stacking through regional and national tiers up to $5,000 per student for National Winners; a valid Social Security Number (or LPR status) is required to receive any cash award. Because the program covers grades 6-9 only, only current 9th graders are eligible among high schoolers.
