The Walter Urbigkit Memorial Scholarship, administered by the Wyoming Community Foundation, gives $2,000 to a graduating senior or graduate of any Wyoming high school who plans an aviation-related career, in any major -- preference goes to graduates of Fremont and Hot Springs County high schools, but the fund is open statewide. A 2.0 GPA is required, along with a short answer (3-5 sentences) on how the applicant's intended field of study connects to aviation. It's a one-time award submitted through the Foundation's common scholarship application, due March 1 each year.
