3Rivers Federal Credit Union, based in Fort Wayne, awards forty $2,000 scholarships to its strongest essay and art entries each year, plus ten more $1,000 scholarships by random drawing among entrants who also complete a free financial-aid review with its Youth & College team. Entries are an essay or an original art piece about a local business or organization that has shaped the student's life and community, and entrants must hold a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. Applicants must be, or become, a 3Rivers member, which is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the credit union's northeast Indiana service area, and graduating high school seniors entering college the following fall are explicitly eligible.
