Kern Community Foundation runs one online application that matches graduating Kern County high school seniors to more than two dozen individual scholarship funds at once, instead of requiring a separate application for each. A 2.0 GPA covers most of the funds, though some — including agriculture, STEM, and faith-specific funds — set a higher 3.0 GPA or other added criteria. Recipients also join the Foundation's College Success Program for ongoing academic and financial-aid advising.
DemographicsOpen to graduating seniors from a Kern County high school; a few individual funds also accept students from neighboring Merced, Kings, Tulare, or Fresno counties.
