The Arkansas Community Foundation manages dozens of donor-established scholarship funds for Arkansas students headed to a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical program. Students create an account in ACF's online portal, complete an eligibility quiz, and are matched to the funds they qualify for — some funds are restricted to graduates of a specific high school or to students planning to attend a particular college, while others are keyed to extracurricular activities or intended majors. The scholarship portal opens each year on February 1, and winners are chosen either by committees convened through the student's high school counselor or by Arkansas Community Foundation volunteers and board members around the state; scholarship payments are sent directly to the student's college, never to the student.
Individual award amounts are set by each donor fund and vary widely.
