Rockford Promise pays whatever tuition and required fees are left after other financial aid for graduates of Rockford Public Schools District 205 or a partner high school who enroll at Rock Valley College, Rockford University, Northern Illinois University, or Saint Anthony College of Nursing. A student must attend all four years of high school at an eligible school and complete the FAFSA before applying; each partner college sets its own GPA minimum, and Rockford University and NIU additionally require living within Rockford city limits. The scholarship covers tuition and general fees only, not books or housing, for up to four years or a bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.
