Jefferson Scholarship (University of Virginia)

The Jefferson Scholarship funds the entire cost of attendance at UVA for four years -- about $230,000 total for Virginia residents and $405,000 for non-residents (2025-26 figures) -- alongside leadership institutes, international travel, and alumni mentoring. No one may apply directly: each of the more than 65 partner nominating regions asks eligible high schools to put forward a senior, who then goes through regional review and a final selection process.
