New York State PTA Jenkins Memorial Scholarship for Teacher Education

New York State PTA's Jenkins Memorial Scholarship supports graduating seniors from New York public high schools with an active PTA/PTSA unit (each eligible school may nominate up to two students) who plan to earn a bachelor's degree in education at a SUNY campus, or start at a community college that transfers into SUNY. The $4,000 award is paid in $1,000 installments after each of the first three years of confirmed enrollment, with the final $1,000 released once the recipient completes the degree and is recommended for teacher certification.
