The Microsoft Disability Scholarship Program, run through The Seattle Foundation and Microsoft's Disability Inclusion Network, awards up to 11 renewable scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors who require financial assistance and plan to study engineering, computer science, business, law, or a related field. Applicants must hold at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate leadership; per the sponsor's current published eligibility criteria, applicants are not required to personally have a disability, though the required essay asks students to propose a technology innovation that would improve life for people with disabilities. Microsoft employees and their children are not eligible. Awards are administered by Scholarship America and require one recommendation.
