The SME Education Foundation runs more than 60 distinct scholarship programs -- merit- and need-based, renewable and one-time -- for graduating high school seniors and current college students pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field that supports manufacturing. One application is automatically matched against every scholarship the applicant is eligible for. Awards range from $2,500 to $20,000, and the foundation has awarded more than $20 million to over 6,000 students since 2005.
