UNLV Engelstad Scholars Program

Endowed by the Engelstad Family Foundation, this UNLV program pays $3,500 a semester for up to eight semesters to students who graduate from a Southern Nevada high school, are admitted to UNLV as first-year students, and demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA. Scholars complete community-service hours and leadership programming alongside their coursework. The program is not open to Engineering or Nursing majors.

Eligibility

DemographicsMust graduate from a high school in Southern Nevada (Las Vegas metro area) and enroll as a first-year, degree-seeking student at UNLV -- this is a strict eligibility rule, not a preference.

Applying

$3,500 per semester for up to 8 consecutive fall/spring semesters (up to $28,000 total) while eligibility is maintained.
