The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis has provided need-based, renewable grants (alongside interest-free loans) to students across the St. Louis region since the 1920s. Eligible applicants must have lived for at least two years in St. Louis City or one of eight nearby Missouri or Illinois counties, and hold a high school diploma or GED with at least a 2.0 GPA. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need — students with a Student Aid Index above $17,500 must show extenuating circumstances to qualify. There's no fixed per-student amount; the Foundation aims to close the remaining gap between a student's other aid and their cost of attendance for technical, associate's, or bachelor's programs.
