Mayor's Youth Scholarship (Atlanta)

Administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, the Mayor's Youth Scholarship supports students enrolling full-time in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or technical school. There's no minimum GPA, and priority goes to Pell Grant-eligible applicants. As with all Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta scholarships, applicants submit a FAFSA Submission Summary showing financial need, an unofficial transcript, and a short essay on their academic and career goals through the foundation's shared online scholarship portal. There is no application fee, and award checks are paid directly to the recipient's college. Open only to students who have never received this scholarship before.

Eligibility

DemographicsApplicant must graduate from an Atlanta Public School, currently reside within the City of Atlanta, OR be recommended by a current City of Atlanta employee.
