UCF automatically considers admitted students for a National Merit scholarship once they're named a National Merit Semifinalist, with the package finalized after Finalist status and a first-choice designation with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Florida-resident Finalists receive the state's Benacquisto Scholarship on top of Bright Futures, while out-of-state Finalists receive more than $25,000 per year for four years. All Finalists get guaranteed admission to UCF's Burnett Honors College (a separate Honors application is still required, though acceptance is guaranteed) and guaranteed on-campus housing.
