Nashville Predators Terry & Sheila Crisp Scholarship

Named for former Predators coach Terry Crisp and his wife Sheila, this Preds Foundation scholarship gives one Middle Tennessee high school senior $5,000 toward a Tennessee public college or university -- $2,000 freshman year, then $1,000 in each of the following three years, contingent on maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicants submit a 2-3 page essay on how they embody Terry Crisp's leadership, work ethic, perseverance, and character, plus two reference letters from teachers, mentors, or community leaders. There's no athletic-participation requirement, and immediate family of the selection committee or Predators front-office staff can't apply. The Preds Foundation doesn't publish a fixed deadline or online portal, so check the Predators community page for the current cycle.
