American Electric Power Company, Inc. established the AEP Educational Trust to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are dependent children of a full-time employee at American Electric Power or one of its operating subsidiaries, with at least one year of the parent's service required as of the application deadline. The initial award is $5,000, renewable for up to three additional years (total up to $20,000) as long as the student maintains a 2.5 GPA and full-time enrollment. A current transcript and one online recommendation are required.
