American Legion Department of Pennsylvania Samuel W. Worley Scholarship

The American Legion Department of Pennsylvania's Samuel W. Worley Scholarship Endowment funds several named awards for the children and grandchildren of Pennsylvania Legionnaires. Individual funds include a $500 award for Pennsylvania seniors headed to a four-year college, a $500 award open to any student age 15-18 with a one-page essay on patriotism, a $500-per-semester award for seniors entering a four-year college, and a $600-per-year award for students headed to a two-year or community college. Deadlines for the funds run through May 1.

Eligibility

DemographicsApplicant must be a child or grandchild of a Pennsylvania Legionnaire in good standing, or of a deceased Pennsylvania Legionnaire.
