The LEAGUE Foundation, the nonprofit arm of AT&T's LGBTQ+ employee group LEAGUE, awards scholarships to self-identifying LGBTQIA+ graduating high school seniors (and supportive allies) entering their first year of higher education. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents accepted at an accredited U.S. college, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (weighted average allowed), and submit two personal essays plus two letters of recommendation from non-family members. The foundation has awarded 253 scholarships totaling $560,000 since 1996 but does not publish a fixed per-award amount. Applications typically open in January and close in April.
