The Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust funds Legacy Scholars at IU Indianapolis and Ivy Tech Community College's Indianapolis campus for students facing significant barriers to earning a degree: parenting students, young adults with physical disabilities, and young adults (18-25) who aged out of foster care or are unaccompanied and financially self-supporting. The award can fund up to six years of study at a university or four years at community college, alongside dedicated program staff, peer support, and tutoring or mentoring to help Scholars finish their degree. Students apply directly through IU Indianapolis or Ivy Tech's own admissions and financial aid process — there is no separate scholarship essay.
